Like the game show, this live dealer spectacle puts risk and reward at the very forefront of the gameplay. Ultimately, this is one of the closest Deal or No Deal gambling experiences yet.
Talking about the launch, Edo Haitin, Managing Director at Playtech Live Casino, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing the excitement of one of TV’s most enduring formats to Live."
He also commented on the mechanics of the game, specifically the new mini draw side game, which gives players the chance to win special prizes on the first 20 tickets.
At launch, the game supports multiple languages - including English and German. For more details on this exciting new game, read our short guide plus tips.
How to play Live Deal or No Deal
Playtech's new live casino game fuses the mechanics of lottery and bingo, much like Evolution Gaming's Mega Ball.
The game revolves around 16 numbered suitcases - 15 of which appear on the player's tickets. The sixteenth suitcase will be in the player possession. The Big Draw uses a lotto-style ball drawing mechanic to eliminate numbers from the ticket.
With each prize removed from the ticket - the banker meter will slowly fill. Once seven numbers have been removed from your ticket, the banker will hand out an offer. Once again, this follows the format of the TV show to the letter.
At this stage, you can accept the deal - which will end the game. Alternatively, you can buy more balls to search for an even better offer. If no balls remain at the end of the game, then your box will be opened, revealing a prize.
It's important to note in this game that the more numbers removed from your ticket - the more valuable the multipliers you are likely to receive.
There are two extra gameplay features for more adventurous gamblers:
- Prize Boost: Before any game starts, you can boost the value of any five prizes by using the Boost Bet
- Mini Draw Side Game: Complete lines on your card to win instant prizes - much like completing lines on a bingo card.
Live Deal or No Deal Strategy
As with any game that involves ticket purchases - the more tickets you have, the better your chances of winning. With more tickets, you increase your chances of getting a better deal from the banker.
More tickets also mean that you have more chances for numbers to get removed from your tickets. All in all, you have a much better chance of landing multiplier prizes, including the max 25x multiplier.
If you are okay with placing a larger wager, then the side bet can help you win more. The theoretical return to player is marginally better than the base game and pays out on lines completed.
Keep in mind, this only applies to the first 20 balls, so there's always the chance to make some losses.
When you look at the returns closely of Playtech's Live Deal or No Deal - you begin to see that this pays out less than some slots. Therefore, it is best to treat it as such - play it casually for fun.
