    Best Casino Table Games

Of the many different table games you can play online, it’s blackjack and roulette that are by far the most common. Virtually every casino that has table games has at least a few variants of these two games you can try out. Each of these games has quite a few spin-offs and a good casino will have a range of these available to play.

These are regarded by some to be the best casino table games because they’re easy to understand, fun to play and offer some pretty high odds. However, there are plenty of other table games that are well worth trying. You’ll find loads of different poker games, from Texas hold’em to three card poker, along with dice games like sic bo and craps, and other card games such as baccarat.

    Online casino game blackjack
Blackjack is the ultimate game of player vs dealer

A popular table card game, Blackjack is sometimes known as Twenty-One, as the aim of the game is to get your hand to add up to 21 or as close as possible without going over the total. This can be achieved by two cards, or by adding cards to your hand if no-one has won therefore ending the game.

Aces can have a value of 11 or 1, which is interchangeable. Picture cards are worth 10, and every other card is worth the face value. If you have a total below 21 you can twist (take another card) or if you are close stick with your cards. Go over 21, and you are out or bust.

    Online casino game roulette
Easy to play and a low house edge - roulette is a classic

One of the most popular table games, Roulette has undergone many changes over the years, and players can now indulge in the traditional European and American versions of the game, or try some of the more modern incarnations with subtle twists to the game.

The aim of the game is to correctly predict where the ball will land when the wheel is spun and come to rest. Picking the exact number is the hardest bet possible, but there are a range of other bets, called inside and outside bets, that let you bet on a group of numbers or a series of conditions.

    Online Casino Hold’em

    Online Casino Hold'em
Online Casino Hold'em is a poker game where you play against the dealer

One of the most popular poker games you’ll come across online is Casino Hold’em. If you’ve ever played Texas hold’em before, you’ll find that this version is very similar, except for the fact that you’re playing against the dealer and not against other players. Casino hold’em also has an extra bet you can place and a slightly different payout table.

Your ultimate objective when playing online Casino hold’em is to end the game with a better poker hand than the dealer. You receive two cards to start with and use three community cards (cards shared by you and the dealer) to form your hand. If you decide to fold, the game is over. If you decide to raise your bet, two additional community cards are dealt and the dealer’s best hand is compared with your own.

    Online Baccarat

    Online Baccarat Game
Player or banker? The choice is yours

Baccarat is an exciting card comparing game. There are two hands played - the player’s and the dealer’s - and you bet on which of these gets closest to 9. Six or eight decks of cards are used and only the rightmost digit is counted, so if the player’s hand has an 8 and a 9, the actual value is 7 (17 take away the first digit, 1).

The game is similar in some ways to blackjack, though a key difference is that there’s no decision-making. Both the player and the dealer can take an additional third card, though whether they can or not is determined by the game’s rules. Due to this and the way the game works, it results in the dealer’s hand winning just under 52% of the time and a player’s hand a little over 48%. Therefore, it’s recommended you bet on the dealer’s hand.

You’ll find loads of options for online baccarat. It’s widely available, with many of the best online casinos offering a few versions of the game. Lots of casinos that have baccarat games offer live versions of the game. Though there’s no decision-making required of you, playing live baccarat is still an exciting online gambling experience.

    Online Craps

    Online Craps Table
Craps is one of the most popular dice games

The premise of Craps is simple: you’re betting on the outcome of a roll (or series of rolls) of two dice. Though the game has a straightforward set-up, there’s actually quite a lot to it, with several main bets and a large number of optional side bets available as well. It’s the kind of game that’s easy enough to get into, but there’s a fair bit of depth to it if you get into all the various betting options.

While it’s not available at as many casinos as other table games, you should still find plenty of casinos that offer online Craps. There are animated versions of the game that use random number generators to determine the outcomes of the rolls, as well as a few live versions where the dice are rolled by croupiers.

With the Craps betting table being quite complicated, you may want to read up on what all the different betting options are before getting stuck in. A good approach to take if you’re a beginner is to focus on the game’s four main bets (Pass, Don’t Pass, Come and Don’t Come) before trying out the optional side bets.

    Play Pai Gow Poker Online

    Pai Gow Poker
Pai Gow Poker is slow paced, but a good starting point for learners

Pai Gow Poker is an American adaptation of a Chinese domino game. The aim of the game is to form two poker hands, one with five cards and the other with two, both of which must beat the dealer’s two corresponding hands. This version of poker is a lot slower-paced and more straightforward than others. Like Caribbean Stud Poker, it’s a good one for beginners to try.

If you’re keen to play Pai Gow Poker online, our dedicated page has listed the top sites that offer this game. You may want to play for free in demo mode to get some risk-free practice in. Nearly every casino lets you play games for free, though of course when you do this you won’t win any real money.

    Online Caribbean Stud Poker

    Caribbean Stud Poker game
Caribbean Stud Poker is another good poker game for beginners

If you’re new to poker, you’ll want to give online Caribbean Stud Poker a try. This is a great beginner’s poker game as it’s played between you and the dealer and there’s no bluffing involved; there’s also no swapping of cards and the only decision you have to make is whether to play your hand against the dealer’s or fold.

What makes the game especially appealing is that it has a progressive jackpot. As well as the game’s main bet, you can place an optional side bet on the progressive jackpot. If you place this bet and beat the dealer, you’ll win 10% of the jackpot if your hand is a straight flush; if your hand is a royal flush, you’ll win the entire jackpot.

If this game sounds appealing to you, you’ll be pleased to learn that it’s readily available at online casinos. It’s one of the more popular poker games you’ll find online, with many casinos offering both animated and live versions of it.
