Evolution launches Lightning Dice - Electrifying 1000x multipliers up for grabs

Evolution continues to evolve the world of dice games with their latest table

Electric action is a click away in Evolution's latest live dealer game: Lightning Dice.

A new addition to their "Lightning" series - this game gives you the chance to win 1000x prizes with each bet. And your task is simple - guess the outcome of a three dice roll. On each game round, random betting positions are zapped with juicy multipliers. It's a mechanic that was popularised by their award-winning Lightning Roulette game.

With the success of their recent Super Sic Bo table, Evolution has successfully revitalised the dice game genre. Todd Haushalter, chief product officer at Evolution, had this to say:

“Everyone loves dice, plays with dice growing up, and understands how they work, yet there are no fun dice games in the online gaming world.

“We went out of our way to keep the game simple but highly visual with a giant Lightning Tower where dice come tumbling down to make it possible to win big money."

Evolution Lightning Dice

Presentation and spectacle are very much hallmarks of the Lightning brand. And these key features are alive and well in the Lightning Dice room. First of all, the room is stunning with a pleasurable gold and black aesthetic.

It mirrors the same premium VIP look of sibling game Lightning Roulette. But instead of a roulette wheel, the center part of the studio is dominated by the Lightning Tower. This is where the dice tumble down into a waiting tray.

The design of this tower guarantees the random results on each round. A series of shelves, lips and other obstacles scramble the dice for a fair outcome. The only interaction the dealer has with the tower is to put the dice in at the top - and remove them from the bottom.

The look and feel of this game is practically spot on. But what about the all-important gameplay? Let's dig deeper in our Lightning Dice review.

Lightning Dice Review

Dice games are some of the most beginner friendly out there. And Evolution Gaming's latest room is no exception. You simply have to pick the outcome of the three rolled dice. And you have 16 options on the betting table - with each number offering different payouts and odds. Here's how a game plays out:

  • First phase: Betting - you simply need to wager on the outcome of the three dice roll. You can choose one number - or several to hedge your bets and increase your chances.
  • Second phase: Multipliers - before the dice are released into the tower, random multipliers are applied to the betting board. This can hit one number - or several. And the multipliers are random each time.
  • Final phase: Results - the live dealer will hit the famous switch, sending the dice tumbling into the Lightning Tower. This will randomly sort the dice - which will appear at the bottom. The results are then displayed and wins are paid out.

Now it's worth mentioning that each space on the betting board has a multiplier cap. And that means you won't be able to win 1000x on every place. In fact, only numbers 3 and 18 can have the coveted 999x multiplier.

Lightning Dice Betting Strategy

It's worth forming a solid Lightning Dice betting strategy before placing those bets. You can, of course, come up with your own - especially if you prefer to play in a certain way. But here are a few favourites to get you started.

The Go Big or Go Home - This is a simple strategy: you stick to the big paying numbers and nothing else. And for this game, that means 3 and 18. This is a high risk - but high reward strategy.

Why this strategy? With each of these numbers, there is only one possible combination. And that explains the chunky 150:1 payout. But these are also the numbers that are eligible for the sweet 1000x prize. It's going to take a while to see some results - but when it happens...

The Super Spread - Another simple strategy. You place several bets on the most likely winning numbers. And these are 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 or 13. Why these numbers? Well, each has over 20 combinations - giving you good odds of one of them appearing.

Why this strategy? While the payouts aren't great on each number (between 5x and 7x) - they are also eligible for a max lightning multiplier prize of up to 50x. With this in mind, one successful multiplier round could pay back an unlucky run of results.

Lightning Dice Verdict

With its electrifying multipliers and high production values, Lightning Dice is set to become the next premier dice game. And considering how highly we rated Super Sic Bo - that is saying something indeed.
