Speed Baccarat Rules
Evolution Speed Baccarat follows these rules:
- 8 standard 52 card decks are used
- Aces are valued at 1
- 10, Jack, Queen and King are all valued at 0
- Numerical cards 2-9 all retain face value
- The side closest to 9 wins the hand
How to play Speed Baccarat
Speed Baccarat is a game where you bet on the Player or Banker - the side with a hand as close to 9 is the winner.
Card scoring in this game is identical to traditional baccarat. All cards retain face value - but cards with two digits will have the first removed.
Each game will start with the presenter dealing a pair of cards to the player and banker position. Three outcomes can occur:
- If player or banker draw an 8 or 9: this is called a natural hand and no other cards will be dealt.
- If player and banker have hands valued between 0-7: the 3rd card rule will apply. The player and banker will now receive new cards - with the winner being decided based on the highest result.
- If player and banker have equal value hands: the result is tied.
Side Bets & Bonus
Speed Baccarat offers side bets for the chance to win more lucrative prizes.
P Pair/B Pair: Pays out if the cards dealt to the player or banker are pairs.
Perfect Pair: Pays out 25:1 if the player or banker receive identical cards (suit and value). Pays out 200:1 if both the player and banker receive identical cards (suit and value).
Either Pair: Pays out if either the banker or player positions have pairs.
P Bonus/B Bonus: Pays out if the player or banker card receive a natural 8 or 9.
Speed Baccarat Verdict
Speed Baccarat lives up to the name with a speedier version of traditional baccarat. Thankfully service and the social aspects of the game remain intact. The side bets also add a chance for extra gambling opportunities. In terms of aesthetics, we can't fault Evolution's studio design. The blend of golds and Asian influenced patterns almost create a tranquil gaming environment - despite the breakneck baccarat action.
