Watch Your Step With Footfall!

If you think you know how crash games work, 155.io's Footfall adds an unusual twist. Instead of watching a graph or an animated multiplier race towards the inevitable crash, you're watching real-world street footage as you wait to see how high the multiplier can climb.

The catch? The round ends when the "footfall" arrives.

Footfall is part of 155.io's growing CCTV Game collection, combining familiar crash-game mechanics with footage from streets around the world. You can cash out whenever you want, but hold on for too long and you'll lose your bet when the round ends.

Quick Game Stats

Before we get into exactly how Footfall works, here's a quick overview of the game's key features.

ViewingSame round for all players

Footfall is particularly easy to pick up if you've played a crash game before. The main difference is what you're watching while the multiplier rises.

Place Your Bet

Each round starts with a betting period where you can decide how much you want to stake. Once you've placed your bet, the multiplier begins to climb.

Watch the Multiplier

Now comes the waiting game. Instead of a graph or animated sequence, you'll watch the CCTV-style street footage while the multiplier steadily increases. The longer you let the round continue, the higher your potential payout becomes.

There's no fixed ceiling on the multiplier, so you won't know how far a round can go before it ends.

Cash Out

You can cash out at any point before the round ends.

For example, if you cash out at 2.50x, your potential return is based on that multiplier. Waiting longer could mean a higher payout, but it also increases the risk of the round ending before you cash out.

If the round ends before you cash out, your bet is lost.

What Determines the Footfall Crash?

This is where Footfall differs from what you might initially expect.

Although it looks as though the pedestrian appearing in the footage is responsible for ending the round, the person on screen doesn't actually determine the outcome.

Instead, each result is fixed using a cryptographically committed seed before betting closes. The CCTV footage provides the visual experience, but it doesn't influence when the round crashes.

This means there's no hidden strategy based on watching the street.

You might spot someone approaching the camera and think the round is about to end, but that person has no mathematical connection to the predetermined result. Similarly, an apparently empty street doesn't mean you're guaranteed a longer round.

Can Footfall Results Be Verified?

One of the interesting aspects of Footfall is its use of a verifiable outcome system.

Once a round has concluded, players can use the published server seed and nonce to check that the result corresponds with the predetermined outcome.

This provides an additional layer of transparency and means you're not simply relying on the CCTV footage to determine whether the game has ended.

And because the footage isn't actually being used to generate the result, there's no need to worry about someone manually controlling the cameras to influence a round.

Is There a Strategy for Footfall?

As with other crash games, the biggest decision you'll make is when to cash out.

Aiming for a lower multiplier can give you more opportunities to cash out before the round ends, while holding on for a much higher multiplier carries greater risk.

However, there's no strategy that can predict the predetermined result of an individual round.

The CCTV footage might make Footfall more engaging because you naturally start looking at the people and activity in the shot, but watching the footage won't give you an advantage over the game's underlying mathematics.

Mobile Experience

Like other 155.io games, Footfall is designed with mobile players in mind.

The CCTV footage takes centre stage, while the betting controls are positioned so you can place bets and cash out without needing to rotate your phone.

The simple gameplay also lends itself well to quick sessions. There's no complicated set-up to learn: place your bet, watch the multiplier and decide when it's time to cash out.
