Andar Bahar strategy turns the simple Indian card game into something more exciting. Here we will show you  Andar Bahar strategies you can use to test the casinos.

What you will learn:

  • Learn three customisable strategies with different risk levels
  • The reasons Anti Martingale is very risky to use
  • Why Andar Bahar statistics in games should be ignored

Low Risk: Get savvy with side bets

Many live dealer Andar Bahar tables now come with side bets. While some of these bets are too risky to produce any results, the "Number of Cards" side bet is worth a wager. They have a surprising level of return - and pay three to four times more than standard bets.

For example - staking on Andar or Bahar to match within 16 to 25 cards in the Playtech Live Andar Bahar room will net you 3.5x return on your stake - with a 98.10% return. The RTP for this bet is more than the base game!

For this strategy, wager on the standard Andar or Bahar bets and place an additional bet on "Number of Cards". You may pick up some easy, and low risk wins this way.

Pros: Easy to use, low bet commitment
Cons: Can be a money pit over time, returns are minimal

Medium Risk: Andar Bahar Martingale

The Martingale is one of the most famous casino strategies. It works on games and bets with a near 50/50 outcome - so it's also perfect for Andar Bahar. The principle behind the strategy is that eventually, there will be a winning outcome. So you increase your bets in such a way that you recoup any losses.

To use the Martingale, simply bet on Andar or Bahar. If you lose, increase your bet by a unit - you now keep increasing your bets until you win. Once you place a successful bet, return your stake to the original level.

Here's an example of how it looks:

  • Bet ₹10
  • Lose: Increase to ₹20
  • Lose: Increase to ₹30
  • Lose: Increase to ₹40
  • Win: Decrease to ₹10

Mathematically, the Martingale is a near 100% successful strategy. But due to table limits and the sheer cost that can accumulate, it's not advised for long periods of betting.

Pros: Simple to follow, Win your losing stakes bet plus win extra
Cons: If bets get too high, you will be priced out of the table, either by betting limits or your overall bankroll.

High Risk: The Anit Martingale Andar Bahar

The Anti Martingale, as the name suggests, is the complete opposite to the Martingale. It's one of the riskiest strategies you can use. It has the potential for short term success, especially on a small bankroll. However, the problem is knowing when to stop.

To use the Anti Martingale, place a bet on Andar or Bahar. If you win, increase your bet by a unit - you now increase your bets until you lose. Once you lose, return back to your original stake.

Here's an example of how it looks:

  • Bet ₹10
  • Win: Increase to ₹20
  • Win: Increase to ₹30
  • Win: Increase to ₹40
  • Lose: Decrease to ₹10
  • Win: Increase to ₹20

We don't recommend using this strategy as it is. The problem is that there is no stop in place - and it's tempting to keep going and lose it all. Instead, you can use a variation of this strategy by adopting the Paroli technique.

The basis behind the Paroli is that winning streaks tend to come in patterns. It's faulty, baseless logic - but we can use the ideals of the strategy to control the Anti Martingale.

Here's an example of the Anti Martingale looks modified with Paroli:

  • Bet ₹10
  • Win: Increase to ₹20
  • Win: Increase to ₹30
  • Win: Increase to ₹40
  • Return to original ₹10 bet

Pros: Can instantly transform a small bankroll into something bigger
Cons: Very risky, no stops in place mean you can lose everything

Andar Bahar Tips & Tricks

Here are some of our best tips to help you at the tables:

  • The statistics that are featured in most games are almost entirely useless - they merely show you the randomness of results
  • Be careful with the side bets, especially ones that have amazing payouts - they look attractive, but can be a money pit
  • If you speak Hindi, you can play with Hindi speaking dealers (check out Playtech Andar Bahar)
  • If you're new, you might want one to learn the basics of the game first - it's easy to play once you get the hang of it
  • Always learn when to stop - take a walk, enjoy some food or speak with friends and family if gambling is making you upset
