NetEnt Live Shut Down Explained
NetEnt Live has officially shuttered as new owners Evolution make significant changes to the business.
Evolution agreed to acquire the Swedish software firm in a deal worth £1.7 billion earlier in the year. The final hurdle in the acquisition, the UK Competition and Markets Authority, cleared the deal last week. Evolution took control on the 1st December - wasting no time to restructure NetEnt operations.
As part of the original deal, NetEnt Live operations were closed - with the Malta studio now shut down. Games like Perfect Blackjack and the unreleased Roulette Max will no longer be available. The closure of the operation could see 300 redundancies.
NetEnt will now focus on their online slot products - alongside their subsidiary Red Tiger Gaming. For more details on what games are no longer available, read on below:

Many of NetEnt Live's games are already available on the Evolution platform. NetEnt will now be tasked to focus on designing online slots - a process that will be streamlined.
Will NetEnt Live come back?
Due to how dominant Evolution is as a live provider, it seems highly unlikely that NetEnt live will return. However, game concepts like Roulette Max and Perfect Blackjack could be repurposed,
Evolution's ultimate goal with the purchase of NetEnt was the slot development business - which includes their studio Red Tiger.
With this in mind, it's safe to assume that NetEnt live is now closed for good.
